Broker Chains

We do not work with long chains of brokers. This means if and when a broker approaches Supply Chain Partners, he/she should be direct with his/her principal (end buyer or end seller). There can be NO exceptions to this fundamental rule whatsoever.

Being new in business is not bad but we expect the broker to do his/her homework before reaching out to us. We receive tons of emails where individuals claim to be “close” to the seller/buyer, but being “close” is not being direct. We are not here to teach this business to every individual that emails us, do your homework. It is always difficult to work when there is no transparency.

SCP guarantees straight forward business deals between thoroughly vetted traders and helps avoid long chains of shady intermediaries. A good number of excellent oil and gas OEMs, storage as well as logistics companies are are working with us to offer their services to the traders. There is plenty of relevant information available  which adds to the feeling of security among all participants. While we are keen on openness, we also unfailingly ensure complete confidentiality for all traders and other service providers.

SCP  is  the premier supplier of trusted expertise to the oil and gas industry. Buyer DD

Vetting buyers in fuel trading is vital to minimizing risks and ensuring successful transactions. For high-value commodities like EN590 diesel and Jet A1 aviation fuel, a thorough due diligence process safeguards against fraud, defaults, and compliance violations.

1. Financial Stability
Buyers must demonstrate financial capacity by providing financial statements, credit ratings, and banking references. Tools like letters of credit (LC) or bank guarantees are often required to secure payments.

2. Business Legitimacy
Confirming the buyer’s legitimacy involves verifying business registrations, tax identification numbers, and operating licenses. Third-party databases or government resources can validate these credentials.

3. Transaction History
A proven track record in the fuel industry is crucial. References and past transaction details offer insights into the buyer’s reliability.

4. Compliance Checks
Buyers must comply with international trade laws, sanctions, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. Meeting Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements ensures legal and ethical compliance.

5. Operational Capabilities
For bulk purchases, buyers should have adequate storage and logistics capacity. Documentation or site inspections can confirm this.

Thorough due diligence minimizes risks and fosters secure, trustworthy trading relationships.
