EN590 10ppm diesel is a European-standard ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel with a maximum sulfur content of 10 parts per million. It is widely used in modern diesel engines due to its cleaner-burning properties and compliance with EU emission standards.
Lower sulfur content reduces harmful emissions like sulfur dioxide, which contributes to air pollution and acid rain. EN590 10ppm diesel also extends the life of diesel particulate filters (DPFs) in engines and supports the use of advanced emission control technologies.
Third-party inspection agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas test for compliance with EN590 standards, including sulfur content, cetane number, density, flash point, and other parameters. A Certificate of Quality (COQ) is usually issued before loading.
Common delivery terms include FOB (Free On Board), where the buyer handles shipping from the load port, and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight), where the seller delivers the product to the buyer’s discharge port. Popular trading hubs include Rotterdam, Fujairah, and Houston.
